Sycamore Tree Church believes there are four non-negotiable Core Values
common to every church that calls itself Christian:

GodThe Lord God is One God who revealed Himself in scripture as Jehovah or Yahweh, Creator, Redeemer, Healer,
Provider and much more. While humans can never be gods, Christians are adopted children of this living God and
responsible to take care of all that our Father has given us.
JesusJesus, also called the Christ, is the one and only Son of God. He was born of a virgin named Mary, walked perfect
on this earth for about 33 years, was put to death on a cross by the Roman government and Jewish leaders because of His
claim to be the Messiah and rose from the grave on the third day following his execution, defeating death forever.

The Holy SpiritThe Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God given to all believers to guide, convict and give comfort as we
walk on this earth.
The BibleThe Bible is the perfect and inspired Word of God. Everything necessary for salvation and even for life can be
found within the pages of the scriptures. Sycamore Tree Church uses the New International Version of scripture most often,
but will often use other versions that have been translated from the original Hebrew and Greek.

Sycamore Tree Church also holds to these four Core Values that are distinctive to
our congregation:

Worshipping - One of Sycamore Tree Church's greatest strengths is our Sunday Morning Worship. We are gradually
getting to the place where people are able to worship in the way they best honor God. Some clap, some sing, some pray and
others are silent, but it's all worship. As a worshipping congregation, however, we want worship to be more than just a Sunday
Morning event. Our desire is for all of our members to worship Christ in every moment of their lives.
Caring - Sycamore Tree Church is a place people can come to see Christ. To that end we strive to be a place of ultimate
caring, a place where people can feel love and feel like they belong. While we realize we are human we try to avoid prejudices
and attitudes that can keep us from truly seeing people through the eyes of Jesus Christ.
Discipling - Sycamore Tree Church believes that in order to be effective Christians we must be true disciples of Jesus
Christ. Using the scripture as our guide, we will study and grow together to become more like Jesus Christ in our attitudes, our
behavior and the way we live.
Multiplying - Sycamore Tree Church wants to be a multiplying congregation, always duplicating ourselves. Currently our
multiplying is through small groups. Each small group's goal is to birth another small group within a couple of years. But
ultimately, we'd like to help another congregation who has found themselves struggling become new and vital for the Kingdom
of Jesus Christ
