What is an acolyte?  That’s a question that gets asked a lot.  It’s really just a fancy word for the folks who light the candles in the front of the church each Sunday.  We light candles to remind us that Christ is the Light of the World.  From December through Pentecost (usually in May) we light a special candle we call the “Christ Candle” that reminds us that Jesus came into the world to be our Light.  During the rest of the year we light a three-wick candle that represents God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Our Ushers are here to serve you as well as help with the offering.  You might find them opening the doors or even in the parking lot from time to time to help you out of your car.
